Aquatic Controls Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities

As a SplashBotix Control Panel Installation and Configuration Technician, you will be an integral part of our technical team, responsible for ensuring seamless installation, wiring, and configuration of control panels and systems for pools, waterparks and other aquatic facilities. Given the nature of our business, this role involves extensive travel, potentially up to 60% of your working time. Your main duties will include:

  • Collaborating with customers to schedule installations and coordinating onsite visits across different locations.

  • Supervising the physical installation of control panels and associated devices, to ensure proper wiring and device connections.

  • Configuring control systems to meet the specific requirements of each installation, including pump interlocks, device communication, and water quality parameters.

  • Conducting thorough testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve any technical issues or discrepancies, even in remote locations.

  • Providing comprehensive training to customers on the operation and maintenance of installed control panels, both onsite and through remote channels.

  • Maintaining accurate documentation of installations, configurations, and customer interactions.

  • Collaborating with the sales and support teams to address customer inquiries and provide technical expertise, even while on the road.

  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and product advancements to continuously improve technical skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electrical or electronics strongly preferred.

  • Proven experience in electrical wiring, control panel installation, and configuration.

  • Familiarity with aquatic systems, pumps, filters, and water quality management is a plus.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with customers and team members, both in-person and remotely.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently, even in a travel-intensive role.

  • Proficient computer skills for configuring control systems and maintaining documentation.
